Push 4850X2 with my PSU?

Thread Starter
I have this PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817171016

Could I push a 4850X2 with it, or would I need to upgrade?

upgrade your psu...atleast to 650w

that psu is 550 buts its a cheaper one...I would only use a 550w if it was high quality.

it'll run it though...depends how old the PSU is also.

I'd get a new psu due to the fact that your current unit doesn't have enough connectors.

Adapters are never a good idea IMO.

Get a new PSU, like a Corsair 650w TX, those are cheap, but are pretty high quality.

No no no...the extreme power series are the lowest quality, lowest ampere PSU's from coolermaster. Get a better one. If you want to stick to cooler master then get a 650W or more from the Real Power series, or the modular ones.

That should be fine for an X2, but if I were you I would go for a 750w to be prepared for upgrades.

Not necessarily. 650W is more than plenty.

Thanks for the input, guess I'll add a 650w psu to my list this year.

What 4GB kit would you guys recommend? best price/performance is ideal. I was looking at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231166

I believe my P35 is limited to DDR2 1066. Correct?
