Half Life 2 won't start

Not sure why, but it just won't. When I start it up it just hangs at the screen where everything looks fuzzy. Is there an issue with 64 bit procs? I am pretty sure I have played it with a 64 bit proc, but not with a 64 bit OS.

I play Episodes 1 and 2 no prob, and other source engine games without a hitch.

Any thoughts? and thanks!

Hey Fuloran! Try adding -32bit into the startup parameters for it, that's how I have to play.

Right click the shortcut in steam, go to "properties" then click on "set launch options" and you can add the parameter there!

Yep, I had the same problem about two days ago. Do what Inuyasha said, it'll fix it right up.

Hmm..may just have to wait a bit. When I first bought my game, it took 2 days to run correctly. I'll try to play mine right now and see if it works
