I see, so the fact that the LG had a better contrast ratio and response time wasn't really evident up front? I'm planning on going to look at some of these LCD's this weekend.

That LG model is the one Circuit City was going to give me after my old LCD crapped out. I took a drive out to the stores to look at TV's and the LG looked terrible. But yeah, go with the Sharp. Like I mentioned, I was out looking at TV's not but two days ago, and the Sharps had pretty nice pictures.
TV's in stores are abused pretty bad.

I would put down a pretty penny that the LG > Sharp. GG

My grandparents also own an LG LCD television (that's how I know about their CS). The picture is really, really bad.

I've always had good luck with the LG's, maybe I was just lucky.
