Will my fan work with my new cpu?

Right now I have an AMD Sempron 2800+ in my machine. Pretty sure that it's here:

I'm looking to upgrade to a black edition 5400 pretty soon.

The only problem is that the black edition comes with no fan. Will the fan from the 2800+ work with the 54? And if so, will system stability be maintained w/ a 450 w psu and no overclocking?

You can always try it with the cooler/fan that you have and go with a better one if you dont like the temps afterwards.

If will physically fit, and at stock speeds may work, but you will probably have higher temps.

Ok, cool. Thanks for all of the help. I'm on a budget at the moment and my last 50 bucks is going towards 4gb of ddr2, so getting a new fan is out of the question if I want to upgrade my 1gb of current memory. I don't plan on overclocking it right now and I probably won't later unless I know my system will handle it without budging. I'm just glad I don't have to buy a new fan at the moment. By the way, what is the range of temperature that would be considered "ideal," and how can I check my CPU temp?
