Stable Motherboard

Thread Starter
Looking for a stable motherboard that would fit into a tower just fine. I'm going to be using a spare AM2 CPU that I have. This will be for a server, so stability is key.

You want the "wanted" section

Hiya Sunrex. Sorry about this but it hasn't been a pleasant month for me.

I have had very little trouble with Asus mobos and I am looking at The Egg (.ca) for best rating of am2 boards. Looks like the m2a-vm is getting some great reviews although some didn't have good luck with the igp. One ide and 4 sata connections and 690G/SB600 chipsets. I was going to go with the sb600 before I got my sig mobo and from all that I read it is pretty good. There are 11 more in the am2 category that is linked above so I am sure one is going to match what you want/need best. Good luck and have a Merry...

In my opinion, and experience, Gigabyte boards have the lowest failure rate.

Lol, from my experiences Gigabyte are the crappiest. I used to have a K8VM800M that spontaneously caught fire on stock clocks and volts, like real fire, red and hot, flaming fire. and now I have this Piece of crap 790FX-ds5 that doesen't know what a stable overclock is at any frequency.
