Would a ULi SB disable crossfire?

Thread Starter
So Im looking at getting another mobo, this one happens to be crossfire. My only concern is the southbridge is ULI. And since ULI no longer supports SLI, would the SB have any affect on being able to crossfire? The NB is ATI CrossFire Radeon Xpress 3200 BTW.
Any insight on this would be helpful,
Thanx

The ULi chipset has its own problems, but Crossfire function is not governed by this chipset.

From the S939 Club thread, I know which motherboard you're referring to, and it's one I'm quite familiar with (or, rather, its problems are what I'm familiar with; permanent and reliable solutions are still being sought). The ULi chipset controls your SATAII ports, among other things, and if your specific CFX3200-DR/G is anything like mine (as many were), you will encounter lots of troubles. The upshot is that, unless you plan on running RAID on the SATAI Silicon Image controller, you cannot use the Si controller to hook up your bootable drive.

Good luck with your CFX3200.
