White is definitely an underrated color for cases but I have my heart (and wallet) set on the textured graphite. It's a suggestion I would have considered a while back though.

I cannot think of a succesful way to cut that by hand really. Only possibility would be a tiny router bit, or do you have a dremel? You can get a router attachment for the dremel which means you basically have a mini router, capable of taking really small bits. YOu might be able to get one that could cut that. Then just make a wood template to guide the bit.3
I'll probably make a template out of wood and use a 3/8" flush trim router bit. The corners will have to be a little more rounded though. Like this:
It shouldn't be too hard once I get the template made. And if I do mess up it wouldn't take much to complete the circle
