Yep, the time has come for gamers to go quad core. Only not everyone has gotten the news yet.

I just upgraded to the Q9550 from the Q6600. It's absolutely worth the extra $100. The Q6600 topped out at 3.6 while I've had the Q9550 up to 4.25GHz for about a half hour and hopefully will get it stabilized soon.

If I were you I'd wait a month and scrape together the extra cash. Or just ask Santa Claus to bring you a Q9550 and a lapped TRUE with a Kaze Jyuni 1900.
