Suggestions for First WC Setup

Looking to build an i7 system in a mountain mods U2-UFO case...

So far, this is what I think I'm going with:

mobo will be blood rage = lga 775 mounting and nb waterblock
Fans will be yate loons, which I already have.

CPU - the Swiftech GTZ
Pump - swiftech MCP 655 pump
Rad - Feser 360mm and 240mm(360 for cpu/nb and 240 for gtx 260 in dual sli)
Res - Koolance Reservoir, Inline 120mm [no nozzles]
Tube- 8 feet of Tygon 1/2" ID tubing 3/4" OD
Fluid - Feser one
VGA - 2 x MCW60-R2 ( 2 x GTX 260)

Some questions I have:

Should I go with Swiftech GTX 200 Mounting Hardware for MCW60 R2 or get some packs of zalman ramsinks
(Do i need to put the ramsinks on both sides of each video card then?)

Should I use arctic 5 ceramique for the mcw60 or should arctic 5 silver be fine?

Is 8 feet of tubing enough?

Are compression fittings worth it or should I just go with some DD fatboy barbs? Which components needs these aftermarket barbs? (just the rads?)
What type of clamps should I get as well if I go with barbs? (with zip ties?)

I want to go for a quiet system, so would it be better go with a push/pull system with a lower fan speed setting?

Let me know your thoughts, thanks.

I recommend at least 10 feet for trial and error, but since its your first time, 15. I also recommend either an EK reservoir with anticyclone or Swiftech microreservoir v2

Yes you would need the GTX200 mounting hardware.

Arctic Silver 5 will be fine. I use it for my 8800GT.

8Ft is not enough if you are going to get a big case. I would get 10-15FT.

Just get the DD fatboys. Your MCW-60, reservoir, radiator will need aftermarket barbs if they do not come with metal barbs.

You could get plastic herbie clamps or use zip ties. Either one will work fine.

You can get good fans and use a fan controller if you want a quiet system.

Does the reservoir make a huge difference in the loop? I was lookin at the koolance one because its nice and big.

Also, how should I run my loops? (cpu, nb, 2x vga, 2x rads, and pump)

res/tline-> pump-> rad-> rad-> cpu block-> nb block-> gpu-> gpu-> back to res/pump

i'm gussing this is for all in one loop. though with your hardware, i would get another pump and go for dual loops. my 2 cents.

would that help that much? If I got a second pump, would I also need a second res?

With the money you're sinking into this - I would look at full coverage blocks for your 260's.

There getting you nicely lined out on parts, I'll leave you my cleaning and set-up PDF. Be sure to read the stickies here to, lots of good info for a new water cooler.

Take you time buying parts and do a little research and you may end up with a rig better suited to your needs and uses. Are you going for all out performance, general OC'ing or quiet computing? That will determine whats best for you.

it would keep your CPU temps pure w/o any effect from your GPUs.

you wouldn't have to use a res, you can just use a T-line.

the NB block can go in either loop. i'm not too sure how sensitive the NB is temps. if its as sensitive as a GPU then put it with that. if not then keep it with your CPU.

the cost of another pump and a T-fitting if you don't already have one. price will depend on what kind of pump you get.

NB is sensitive when you start upping FSB, but it never gets hot to the point that a an HR05 cannot handle it.
