Hey.. im wondering what is a better, a HIS 4870 or a powercolor 4870

the powercolor comes OC'd (800mhz, 3700mhz)

LOL I saw the prices on those and thought they had jumped them all up by $50ish. Then I saw the .ca

I like HIS myself, although I hear good things about Powercolor too. Just get whichever is cheapest when you pull the trigger.

Id get powercooler, has a slightly different heatsink going on and it cant be any worse than the normal blower style. and its slightly clocked higher ( not that like it will make too much of a difference there tho)

Yeah, I noticed that too... I'm like, ***? I thought they were like $240 and 250. And I don't recall the Saphire 4870.

No worries, most people around here are swifter on the uptake than I am.

Between those 2 cards, I prefer the HIS because it has a shielded cooler that forces air out the back of the case. I've used several HIS cards in the past (all with IceQ type coolers), and I've never had a problem with them. Like I said though, I have heard alot of good things about Powercolor.

The HIS has been a good card to me but I cannot get it to overclock much higher than it is now. 790/1050 (4200)

Either will be a good buy.
