Need help overclocking my Ati card

Thread Starter
I've already checked the overclocking threads but here's the thing :
The "Find max GPU/MEM" buttons in Atitool do not work. With any version of Atitools, when I press them it just underclocks my memory or GPU until the card locks.
Rivatuner doesn't recognize my card. It's an Asus Radeon X1550 (EAX1550) PCIe.
Stock frequencies are 550MHz for the GPU and 800MHz for the memory (DDR).
I've already made preparations for an overclock to the maximum extent to which I can (money goes for the Christmas present) so I set up an 80mm case fan to blow at about 1cm above the side of the card where the memory chips aren't cooled by the cooler.
I've googled around and everybody was saying this card can be overclocked nicely but nobody mentioned some recommended frequencies for this.
Can anybody help me with this?Or some suggestions or something.
Love&Peace!

Do you have Catalyst Control Center installed? You may be able to OC it from there.

That auto find stuff is BS... just manually increase the speed 5MHZ at a time until it locks up... then drop it about 20-30 MHz so it's stable.

If the system crashes on those settings, drop it a little bit more or adjust the ratio between the memory and the core.

(if you dont have CCC, ATITool should still work)
