but you can also cancel this action. To be good with sentinel/ magneto/ storm takes alot of practice.

there is also a glitch to have infinite lego men/ also a glitch to shut off the game it self.

and tekken/streetfighter and so many games have glitch but you have to be good to do them.

and you can cancel them really easy

I am not saying that i dont like other fighters, just saying that MVC2 is a great game

nope, if done properly you can not escape the infinite loop. And you keep bringing up good points to my side. the lego glitch the gambit glitch. There are too many game breaking glitches in MvC2. Most are banned from tourneys.

When a game has to be regulated to what you can and cannot do... well that speaks for itself. Tekken 5 DR does not have any game breaking glitches, not to mention God Tier characters. It is extremely balanced.

Regular Tekken 5 is a different story, talk about an unbalanced game. lol Steve, Nina, Bryan the game of 3 characters.

one of the biggest Competitive first person shooters is CounterStrike, it is regulated very highly. because you can glitch....and hack....

Every game has its issues, there is not one perfect game. because humans make video games and humans always make mistakes

agreed, I was just arguing the MvC2 being the most clean cut game statement.

It is in fact very clean cut, the moves are flawless the frames are clean. The actual gameplay is amazing. But when used improperly you get glitches that cause the game to look unstable. When infact to do the glitches are really really really difficult.

I have had a lot of experience with competitive play with first person shooters.

2 years Cal m dod 1.3
1 year Cal IM CS 1.6
1 year CAL O CS:S

And i have fast reflexes and have great timing seeing how i have played the viola for about 11 years now. And i cant even do those glitches with my friend there to tell me what to do.

it is really really really hard.

They are really not that hard, you just need a good stick and fast hands. I am not very good at FPS's save CS:S, however Fighting games are something i am very good at. I used to Travel to monthly tournaments just to stay ranked. I have been in the Fighting game tournament community for several years. Have met and traded strats with some of the best in the world including Slips, Daigo, Justin Wong, Jio. Hell Sanford put me out of a MvC2 tourney last year. I understand if these names mean nothing to you. but your friend has surely heard of them, if he is in competitive play like you say.

Fighting games I used to play competitively.
SF3: 3rd strike
Capcom vs Snk2
MvC2
GGXX #Reload
Tekken 4 and 5
Soul Calibur 2
Games I currently play competitvely.
Tekken 5 DR
SSB:B
Guilty Gear Accent Core

*edit Glitches are a big part of most 2d fighters Like Kara throwing in 3rd strike or dust looping in GG, but these do not break the game they add depth that wasn't meant to be there. The same could be said for MvC2, but most of the glitches there, as i said before, are game breaking.
