I love tekken!!! - Page 10

Well, just won an auction for SCIV + Hori SCIV PS3 stick for $43 shipped, so as long as I have one stick, I might as well build a custom one for second player. Lots of great information on those forums to help in building as well. Anyone here have a custom stick they use? I'd be interested in seeing some like on the other forums.

Also, most of the ones I've seen only use the 6 face buttons instead of the 8 that manufactured sticks have. Are there any games that you would miss the extra 2 face buttons playing? If not, then 6 buttons would be the way I'd want to make the other one with.

No, you would be hard pressed to find a fighting game that uses more than 6 buttons. I usually take out the extra ones on manufactured sticks when I switch the parts.

Ok sounds good, thanks. I received the SC stick and it's pretty well built. I'm definitely going to build one and just wanted to make sure that I wouldn't miss anything by only making a 6 button stick. I'm probably going with a clean white theme and Dhalsim or Zangief on it.

Gief FTW! also check this stick out for Street fighter 4 when it comes out.

It comes with the same Sanwa stick that is used in the arcade version. I'm thinking of getting it gutting it and putting a new image on it. I usually spend around that much on my sticks making them anyway.

*edit oops just saw that somone else already posted the SFIV stick but yeah it should be great.

Very cool stick. I've already pre-ordered the collector's edition so I may just purchase that too. What exactly is the model and part number of the Sanwa arcade stick? Is it the JLF-TP-8T or something totally unique?

I'm also thinking that I need to have a bigger surface area to rest the edge of my hands upon. Maybe just building a base with a couple more inches extended would be great, then just purchasing the Sanwa stick and buttons.

I've seen suggested PS1/2 to PS3 adapters, but has anyone used one and can recommend one that is readily available? Maybe just getting a Cthuhlu board would be a better option.

I don't know exactly which Sanwa JLF stick it is but it doesn't matter since the only difference is the mounting plate. It's the same sticks and buttons you'd find standard on a Taito Viewlix, Astro City, or any other candy cabinet.

I was playing Tekken 6 in London the other day, some guy kicked my ass.

Sadface.

I use a cheapo Mayflash arcade stick, can't really match arcade panels but it's more than sufficient for home use.

I like the white buttons on the dark background. I'll probably end up just modifying my SC4 stick or making one from scratch. I'd go with different art.

We don't have a specific date yet. Most sites are indicating by the end of 2009.
