Bummer I may as well then take 1 out, it will save some voltage then, not much use in having it in
Its a good card though, as was running hl 2 last night at highest settings, and it run really smoothly

Yeah, If you can return it for a refund/credit off a PSU that would be good, if not put it on eBay. I used to have an 8600GT - good card really, overclocked like mad too.

You can keep the 8600GTS in if you are ever going to start folding (see here for info - http://www.overclock.net/overclock-n...need-know.html)
You can basically assign one card just to fold on, you can then game or whatever with the other one. If you are never going to take up folding disregard this

Im probably going to go for the OCZ StealthXStream 500 Watt from play.com, as its also free delivery
I had a quick look at a couple of reviews for both, and for me the 1 above seems to come out on top
Will order 1 in a bit I think

Before you buy a new PSU i would try other approaches to OC the Q6600 so when you get the new PSU you dont go like " dam it was no the PSU but...." I was appble to boot with a crappy 385W PSU my Q6600 @ 3.6Ghz/

Whats making me think more and more though thats its my psu, is even a little uppage of the cpu clock and voltages, makes my system un-bootable
Even tried changing as few settings as possible in bios, and it again wont boot up after saving the settings

I agree. It *may* not be the PSU, but I really would reccomend a PSU upgrade anyway, that PSU is near its limits, which is never good, and its nott the best of makes.

Any quick oc settings I could try out 1st to see if my system will boot or not?
I know eventually I need a new psu anyway, had this 1 for nearly 3 years, bought it when I built my 1st system lol
Even if I can oc to say 2.6ghz, I know its not a problem with the mb or cpu, but even if I try to up anything and save settings, the system will not boot at all unless I reset the cmos switch
