This is OT and I am in no way trying to start a flame war, but all of my problems dissapeared when I ditched my E7200 and Gigabyte P35 and got a Biostar mobo and AMD CPU.
Different strokes for different folks. It was just kind of crazy because it was the exact opposite, so I couldn't resist comment.
That said, to be at least partially on topic, I HATE HATE HATE crossfire after the nightmare I went through with 4850's and Vista 64. It was not my first multi-gpu setup nor my first crossfire setup, and it was one of the most infuriating experiences I've ever had. I sold both cards and never was able to get them working with any driver version, fresh windows install, or any other trick I could find to try. Evidently from googling I am only one amongst quite a lot of people that have had the same problem.Edited by iandh - 12/16/08 at 10:32pm
