It crashes frequently and the graphics are terrible (I have everything maxed on 1440x900) and the guns look aweful, so does the scenery. So I just stopped playing it and I'm just waiting for a bucket load of updates before I try again.

It's up to patch 5 at the moment and I have installed them all, but I have yet to try the game again.
You had to have had some bugs, you just didn't notice them. For example, the destination icon on the PDA in SoC was often screwed up and would stop on the transition between areas on The Zone. But people are just too stuck up to get passed a few errors to play a good game.

lol.

I honestly don't like any of them.

I think that the zone should have been a slowly fade away type thing. In which the game allows you to keep playing, but the anomalies and such are reduced, or something like that. IDK, lol.

I'm not normally one to promote MMORPGs but the STALKER universe needs a MMO IMHO.

You guys realize that the Monolith was not the real ending, right? There was actually significantly more game after that.

I like the game, very atmospheric like deadspace. But yea, its really hard on your pc on maxed settings. But looks awesome, even better than crysis imo.

yup. It was all quite anti-climactic in my opinion tho. Fighting all those heavily armed and armored baddies, carrying way too much junk I wanted to sell onlt to be treated to a cinematic, then the credits...

It looks grittier than Crysis, which I like. But unless you have a lil screen or a couple badarse GPUs it's murder!

It just wastes my 4870 @ 1920x1080. And I can't play any game nowadays w/o at least 2xaa. Honestly tho the difference between 2x AA and no AA FPS wise was about 2 fps. I think it was 12 vs. 14 around the Clear Sky camp. <and that's w/ the sun stuff turned to low and alot of the neato DX10 features off.

edit: sorry for the double post. I was hoping sum1 had posted in between while i was writing up this post.
