PC doesn't shut down since BIOS update

Thread Starter
Will I updated the BIOS through windows and shut my PC down, it then restarted a second later and told me the BIOS flash was complete so I said 'fair nuff' and turned it on... guess what, it turned on a second later again. So I forced it off by holding the button on the front of the case for 4-5 seconds and that worked. But I don't want to use that as a way of turning of my PC all the time.

Any sugestions on how I could fix it?

Re-flash to an earlier BIOS, or re-flash the new BIOS and see if it works this time.
or
Try re-flashing to the new BIOS through the BIOS itself.

Using EZflash in the Asus bios is the best method to flash to a new version. Simply use a thumbdrive and put the bios on it, then go into your bios and select EZflash.

I think that's how he did it if he flashed through windows.

I have tried that but still no luck.

Although it may have fixed itself randomly.
