Hell no. At this point, screw requesting a refund, you should demand a refund AND full return shipping price.

Seriously, get a mod involved on this. At least have the Marketplace Forum Supervisor tracking the progress of this, to protect you.

That's just ridiculous. Make sure all your communication with him is via PM on this site and a mod can review everything that's said in case it turns from bad to worse.

If he turns out to be a complete douche, at least he can get perma-banned so that he doesn't do this to anyone else.

Agreed.

... Paper towels? The hell?

Demand a refund, that's unacceptable.

Don't repair. Don't ever think about putting a CPU in that board. As posted above by someone else, get a mod involved.

I don't want to overfill your PM box, so I'll just post it in here.

alexgheseger and prosser13 are the Forum Supervisors for the For Sale section.

PM one of them and have them take a look at everything. Give them the original thread link, and let them take a third party look into the thing.

At the very least, it'll get some mod attention for your protection.

Hey, I see prosser's in here now.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR IT.... once you've been in there with toothpicks he can say anything he likes...

repair was not part of the original agreement!!

im sure the seller has read this thread, its gonna be fatal for him unless he sorts it out...

at present we must give the seller the benefit of the doubt, as he is pursuing the shipping company, if he fails to get a payout from them the ball is back in his court..

if you as the buyer fail to get a refund or a working board, post his name up & im sure the forum members will take it from there....

the sales here are very much based on trust, & i'd be spitting flames if it arrived at my house in that state!!
