Ram is usually rated for voltages +- 0.1v. In your case 1.8v+-0.1v = 1.7-1.9v

I say go for it! .1v will most likely NOT destroy your ram, I believe you can get to 3.0ghz if you can figure the settings out. It took me a couple tries (and a post on OCN) to get 3.0 and I got to 3.2 with the same settings but couldn't get any higher than that. Now that the semester is over I'm going back to 3.2 and going to shoot for 3.3-3.4ghz. My temps are around 52-56* so I feel like I could try for some more. Not sure how much of a difference it will make going from 3.0 to 3.4 but I'd like to see it happen just for kicks.

Oh, and to lord it over my friend who bought a faster(when mine was stock) chip but can't overclock it (thank, Dell) and who can't repeat my 10k in 3dMark

PS -- Kraeoss your PCmark is really really close to mine (at 3.0ghz) so you're already doing well at 2.75!

I have a e2200, if your cooler allows it, i got mine to 3.0 easy enough with 1.5000v (theoretical). Dunno much about your mobo tho, if you can unlink your RAM and CPU I would recommend doing so. Note that I only put it that high to ensure I got the most stability I could at that OC, yours might not need a voltage actually that high.

well reached 2.88 stable in windows 2 hrs of occt ran prime last night no errors as of this morning. hit 11k in 3d mark. i'm kinda skeptical about overvolting that much lol @ 1.41v in cpu-z so i guess it's ok now hehe

thx guys for all the advice (esp. corky for the secret to ram timings) lol
