New mobo 780i:decisions? - Page 4

Alot of people think asus sli baords are bad and alot of people think msi nforce boards are bad, ive only ever had msi and abit nforce in the past, that aw9d was my first intel chipset, always prefered Nforce
think i will give asus a try this time, i shall order it in the morning feelin a bit lucky this month

Ive noticed on reviews though, that all the 780i chipsets have had problems?
750is are more worth thier money? would anyone here pick a 750 over a 780i?

Not much point in asking for advice and then disregarding it.

The 780i boards are a mixed bag. Stick with EVGA.

Depends on the board. 780i FTW and 750i FTW, around 470 for quads, close to 500 with duals.

with the 790i ultra, 500 with quads, 550 with duals.

the 750i ftw.

the 750i is nowhere near as healthy an overclocker.

Also, your cpu will not go that high without crazy vcore (and appropriate cooling)

welll atm my cpu thinks its onlyy a 12x multiplier as my baords being stupid,
and its got bad support, takes me 1.5v just to get it to 3.5ghz cause the motherbaords not overclocking like it used to anymore.
2 years wortth overclocking has killed it, need a board to last another 2 years before an i7 system, so a 780i evga baord would get me to a healthy 4.3ghz? do you reckon?
