Can I use Goo Gone as a grease and wax remover before painting my case?

yes takes off grease and I know crayons so I would say wax also.

for the really stuck on stuff...let it sit on the stain for a little bit them wipe away. Also after using it use a light soap and cloth and wipe down the case.

I just would not recommend Goo Gone on acrylic as it does dull the finish

Yep, use Windex or vinegar and water for acrylic, goo gone for metal.

are you sure about the windex on acrylics? I thought it contains isopropyl aclohol, which isnt necessarily a good thing on acrylics. I hope Im wrong because I need to clean the switch face plate on the intelli case before I take pics and I dont have anything to clean acrylic, unless windex is ok

?

I personally do not use Windex on acrylics; I use the Novus #1 plastic Clean & Shine.

Windex or 409 may be fine; but I'm not sure exactly what the ingredients are or in what concentrations.

I might just use a soft cotton cloth and a small amount of warm water
and then lightly buff dry with dry part of cotton cloth

Probably better than using Windex

I don't think it would hurt to dilute some soap into the water as well.
