SLK-948U fan position

I have a Antec Sonata 2 and it has that vent thing that can over over the CPU

I have a fan on it at the moment and am going to install my heat sink soon.

The heatsink has a fan too and was wondering would this be effective?

[Fan1] Fan attached to vent sucking air
[Fan2] Fan on heatsink blowing down into the CPU and the the draft will be sucked by the vent fan
[Heatsink]

or should i just keep both fans sucking air? from the heat sink?

Fan attached to case, pushing air into the case
Fan attached to heatsink blowing down on cpu.

That way youre pushing air from outside the case directly onto the heatsink.

the vent for the antec sonata is for exhaust. not for intake. i have an intake fan in the front.
