I am wanting to build a budget gaming rig in a couple months or so. I Don't need a monitor/mouse/keyboard/case/sound card. $900. Price includes OS. Thanks in advance.

the games u listed arent very demanding, an 80$ 9600gt can handle all of that no problem or a 9600gso/8800gs

900$ is a pretty damn good budget

id get a mediocre gaming pc + laptop with that money

the pc in my signature seriously only costed me 575$ tax and shipping included

. and with the extra 325$, id get an eee pc or an acer 8.9'' laptop. or an itouch. lol

It depends on what resolution he's running Fallout 3 in. In general, I would drop $40 off the CPU by going with the E7300, and use the money to get a better video card. The best card for the money is probably the older version of the GTX 260, however the HD4850 is a good choice especially after overclocked a bit. If he’s running games at 1920x1200 or larger, more than 512MB of video ram would be recommended.

Actually, Resolution would be at roughly 1680x1050. That is the max on the monitor. So... 512Mb, 256-bit, Open GL 2.1, DirectX 10.1. Anything else the card really needs that overclocking can't do?
