Ghosting on still images

Thread Starter
Okay, i bought a new monitor (32" Panasonic FullHD LCD) and there's ghosting on it. Any change in colour, and a couple of pixels over there will be a ghost of what I'm looking at. It's distracting, to say the least. It's not so bad ingame, but text is quite hard to read.

What I want to know is, is it my cable doing this?

I'm using a cheap DVI-D - HDMI interconect cable.

If i get something much higher quality, will that improve my picture?

The cable plays a very important role in picture quality, and being a cheap DVI-D to HDMI cable seems to be the problem, you probably don't notice as much ingame due to the continuous movement.

I had the same issue when using a DVI to D-SUB adapter, new one fixed the issue.

I used to have that problem. But it was my cable being bent too hard so I had to stretch it. May sound useless but it worked for me.
