The Asus Republic Of Gamers Series Motherboard Club - Page 38

Hi I was refered to this thread now my Striker II Formula is at the latest bios of 2201 but I have heard that it is worse for OCing I was wondering what would be the best Bios to achieve a stable 3.2GHz OC.

Information I need
FSB and Memory Config:
FSB (QDR) MHz
Actual FSB (QDR) MHz
MEM (DDR) MHz
Actual MEM (DDR) MHz

The Voltages:
CPU Voltage
Memory Voltage
1.2V HT Voltage
NB Core Voltage
SB Core Voltage
CPU VTT Voltage
CPU PLL Voltage

CPU Multiplier

I'm sure thats the layout if I'm missing anything could you please add I guess this could also help other people with this board and processor. Im sorry for asking for so much but Im tight for cash and rather not break any components in my computer cause of my inexperience

Please add me to the List, I have the following Components
Asus Rampage Forumla
Antec 900 Case
QX9770 Water Cooled
2 X Asus 4870X2 Top Water Cooled
8GB DDR2 1066MHz OCZ
4 X 146GB 10K SAS on a PCIEX1 Card
Swiftech Radiator, Pump and res
2 X DVDRWs
Card Reader
850 Watt Antec True Power

Now that Im part of the club I get to ask noob questions right?

Ok, so first, let me say that this motherboard is lucky to be alive and kicking, at least in my system, because I have almost taken it into the back yard and taken a bat to this darn thing. First there appears to be a problem running a 1600MHz FSB with 1066Mhz Ram on this board. I cant get this system to run stable unless I underclock to 2.6, 2.8 or 3.0GHz. If I run the default clock for my proc at 3.2 and set the ram voltage and timings then I can pass 2 minutes of CPU Stability Test. I also blue screen on boot, in games and whenever else is convenient. So Ive been trying to tweak this so I can atleast run my default clock nevermind overclocking and have had nothing but issues. I am finally able to get my system somewhat stable, no bluescreens and I dont crash out of games but I still can pass more than 10 minutes of CPU Stability test by doing the following:
CPU - 3.2Ghz Stock
Memory - 5-6-6-18 (they should be able to do 5-5-5-15)
NBV - 1.41
DRAMV-2.14

Also, I noticed that after water cooling my whole setup everything runs niceeee and cool, my CPU never gets above 80F. However now my N and S bridge Chipsets run at crazyyy hot temps, even in the bios off a cold boot, does anyone have a good water block for this? ive found some but I noticed the VRMS around the CPU are not included in the water blocks that I found, I either need an alternate cooling solution or something that can do it all.

Ill post some pictures of my rig over the weekend.

You may want to start a new thread to ask this, not very many people will read it here.
