Hi guys. I definitely would like to join the ROG Club as I would like to know more about these boards. Here is my cpuz validation: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1676799
BTW the actual mobo is a Maximus Formula w/ Rampage Formula bios.
For some reason they seem to work better for me Hope this doesn't mess anything up. I will send pics when I get new batteries for my camera.

why would you want to flash your formula with an alien bios that makes no sense to me and if the formula would have an issue it should be fixed by asus with a respective bios update for the formula, whats your issue therefore? cheers mate

Hey guys,

Here's my validation banner:

I have one question though I got this board in a trade and I've had no issues with the 2 ethernets but I do have one issue. Can someone help me figure out what I need to install to get rid of the unknown hardware?

@elysion,

Thanks for the help! I have installed the marvell drivers and audio drivers and everything else that you normally install, but I still got the error. After looking through the ASUS site I noticed there was one other driver I never did install, the sata drivers. After running the installer the error disappeared.

Never thought you had to install sata drivers, since most of the boards I had never had a need to do it. In any case really glad that hardware error is fixed now! Thanks!

Now on to OCing my board this weekend!

The guy I bought it from had it flashed like that. I plugged it in, powered up, and started clockin' away. There haven't been any issues not even a BSOD, go figure?!

Im currently building my new rig and am kind of a noobie. I feel great about the progress i have made but would like to utilize the OC connector to do in-game overclocking. I have never overclocked a processor so i am very new to the concept. I have done much research but have not found much info on the oc connector. Any info out there you can point me to? i also need info on the option thermal sensor connectors. how does it work. do i really need it.
