How hard can it be....

is the Q9550 that FSB limited?

I was able to push my Q9650 to 4.23 or 470FSB without much of a hassle. So if theory serves me it should be easy enough to push a Q9550 to the same relative FSB and resulting clock speed. Understandably the issue then becomes more about the memory controller handling 8GB at high speed though.

I'm Pretty sure now that I figured out what this board needed to be fully stable at 4.0 I could go as high as 500fsb with this setup.. All it takes is a bit more NB Voltage it seams lol.

Also the VTT needed to be at 1.4 (1.34) since anything below that started failing rounding errors in Orthos and such.

I hate to dirty this thread up with my problems, but I think it might have something to do with this motherboard -

Has anyone had any problems with windows locking up if you go hard wired into either ethernet port? My problems go away when I use a pci card to connect.

BTW - I'd like to join the club too!

I'd like to join the club. So you'll only take a clean pic of the motherboard as evidence or will a CPU-Z validation/everest benchmark screen also count?

Yes that should be fine.
