Northbridge Problem

Thread Starter
My Northbridge on my ga-p35-dq6 is running hot im getting temps of 43oc idle no raised voltages, and my q6600 is running on 33oc right now (stock) the problem is when my system memory reaches 50oc my computer freezes/restarts. It's killing me when I play games since it freezes or when I o/c. I have a fan right on it and it dropped the temps a bit what can I do to lower it, really putting a strain on me.

You can remove the factory heatsink and put better thermal compound on it. That should give a decent temp drop.

But I am pretty sure that a hot northbridge won't make your ram run hotter.... I have never heard anything along those lines before.

You can get one of these

And point it towards the hot area.

I have one cooling my nb, it looks good, cheap, silent and cools good!

It is an Antec spotcool btw

Where exactly could I point some fans on my p35-dq6 to lower the system temperature?
