Headache

Hey guys, I had a Toshiba laptop bought about 2 years ago. Within that year the laptop fan started running high and loud constantly until the laptop shut down. So I had it sent to the repair center but they didn't fix it and I did this 4 times! Then they were willing to replaced my laptop with a refurb and within all this time my warranty expired. Last week or so I received the refurb and that too had the same fan problem.

If you were me what you do? I want my money back or get a new laptop replacement. How would you go about doing that?

Did the fan run loudly 100% of the time? Because newer laptops (and almost all P4 laptops) need loud cooling solutions to keep the heat down. If the fan occasionally ramps up and spins loudly, but then quiets down, the laptop is doing its job. If you have received 3 laptops and they all have the same "problem" then maybe it is all part of the laptops design.

Yeah it ran loud 100% all the time. The technicians agreed and said the system shut down after few hours of running. They replaced the cpu, board, vga cooling, everything really. They confirmed they fixed it but the problem was still there. It wasn't a new laptop by any standards. I bought it around 2006, I read reviews and some people never had problems. No I sent in the same l laptop 4 times, 5th time they agreed to replaced it with a refurb but same problem.
