I'm mad.

This sucks. :swearing:

I was going to get a new monitor, but I decided not too because I'd get low fps with my graphics card. I wish I put in a few extra dollars when I was upgrading my rig so I could have a better card but now I'm stuck with a ****ty 9600 GT.

I probably won't be able to upgrade until in a year because I don't have a job (too young to get one), and my family is sort of poor.

Even if I were to get a new card before that I'd also need a new PSU and my CPU would maybe bottleneck it.

Give me some opinions please guys really mad.

the card is already well overclocked but that doesn't stop it from getting **** fps

Normal 9600 gt is 650 / 1800 512 mb, mine is 735 / 2140. I get about 70 fps though in cod4 with 1280 x 1024 and 1800 x 1200 will totally kill the fps to about 45, which is too low and it will drop to 30 when theres a smoke grenade.

what do you mean ? like you're eight ?

get a paper route, or find some way to help out in a shop; especially if as you say your family is poor, a little work while you're young won't hurt you and give you a healthy respect for for studying so you don't end up as a wage-slave: plus, you'll have some cash.

I dunno. You have 1GB of memory. The problem with higher resolutions is usually lack of memory.

Wait 45 at 1900x1200? Dude you obviously no nothing in the end, if you are getting 75 at 1280x1024 the card is perfect, As you can see i have the GSO version, i run a 22" Acer which by all means is average. I pull a fluid 60 on high for CoD4 and a easy 45 on high for FarCry2 with Crysis pulling the bottom at 38 on high with no shadows.

Really if anything fill out your total specs, do you have 2xX16 slots? if so just ask for a second 9600GT, would boost your frames a good 35% depending on how well the game takes advantage of SLI. Really nothing else besides investing a couple hundred $ to put it under water and OC it more, but i would just get a GTX260 or something instead.
