Is the Asus board mATX? I honestly don't see how you put 2xPCIe 16 and a PCI on a mATX board without either just making it so you HAVE to have single slot coolers on the bottom card or you cover up the PCI slot if you have a double slot cooler.

Exactly. It's the drawback of mATX: having a maximum of only 4 expansion slots. Other than that, DFI is really going all-out on this board.

What worries me is that DFI cut the bandwidth of the PCI-E 2.0 slots to 8x on the JR P45 and the JR 790GX, even in single gpu mode. Hopefully this X58 really gets full PCI-E 2.0 x16 on both slots.

Just got my LanParty JR x58 today. Built like a tank and so tiny! As far as no room for PCI audio cards, there is a usable PCIx4 slot on this mobo even if you cross fire or SLI it. I prefer to user an external USB based sound device and reserve the PCIx4 slot for a dedicated RAID controller. My rig needs excellent video performance and excellent numeric and disk performance for scientific and number crunching applications so RAID is mandatory.

Amazing board. I would just use one x2 or 295 with it and not worry about sli or crossfire. Throw in a sound card and a wireless router and i'm set.

I'm wondering when a Mobo manufacturer will strike a deal with a nice audio company and integrated a powerful audio chip directly onto the mobo... Never have to worry about it again.
