So if I go with a 24" 1080p ASUS monitor, will windows be able to run at that resolution?

We were, but I think I am going to go 1080p instead of hoping that a 1900x1200 monitor won't distort 1080p signals (xbox).

The one in my sig, which serves my computer and 360.

That's why I bought it, because it has hdmi, vga, component, and composite inputs + svideo. It's sort of like a tv without the tuner...

I also read a review from some guy who bought 4 monitors and tested them with his 360, Super Nintendo, and computer and this was one of the best for 1 to 1 pixel mapping in his tests...

Only one dead pixel I found about a month ago, that I can't seem to get rid of with those online pixel scrubbers.

It will do the 1900x1080 with some black bars and the 1900x1200 with a stretched image.

Unless my Xbox is deceiving me right now.

The 360 doesn't support 1920x1200 at all iirc. I have my 360 connected to my 24" widescreen (1920x1200) and it looks great, no complaints whatsoever. Its even connected via an analog cable.

If I did get a 1080p monitor instead, what would Windows output for a resolution?

Windows and your Xbox would both run at 1920x1080.
