One of the few new PC game announcements of E3 last July came at Microsoft's E3 press conference, where Square Enix announced that it's Unreal Engine 3 powered fantasy RPG The Last Remnant would also be coming to the PC some time in the future but did not announce a release date.

This week Square Enix announced that the PC port was now aiming for a spring 2009 release time period. The Xbox 360 version, released back in November, got slammed by critics in part for its performance issues. Square Enix's press release stated the PC version would have extra content but no specifics were mentioned.

This looks to be an incredible RPG. Critics said it was great on the 360, minus all the lag and glitches.

Let's hope they fix the abysmal framerates that plagued the 360 version. You'd've thought that they'd've fixed that after the Infinite Undiscovery fiasco.

That's a big advantage about PC is even if it's really poorly coded eventually you'll probably get enough hardware power to run it fairly smoothly. Usually, at least. On top of that it's using the UE3, so it probably won't be that hard for them to do a decent port. Plus as a JRPG, 30fps would probably be plenty and very enjoyable.

Can't wait, going to be epic. Been wanting to play this for a while but just can't be bothered to pick up the 360 version after everything I've read.
