it seemed to be ok for a few days, but then it just keeps freezing up again. i have tried all kinds of stuff now, and i am about ready to rma which i have no pc to use for a couple weeks now

Do you have any backup PCI-E cards to try? The only other thing I can think of is try loading the default BIOS settings and see if that makes any difference (if you haven't tried that already).

seems to me though that if it only freezes up during gaming then it must be either vcard or drivers, if it was mobo related then other problems would be happening, at least i think so

The RAM works with the Northbridge of your MOBO. If the MOBO is faulty, it's not running the RAM properly and your computer will freeze.

Check your 12v rail and make sure it's providing proper power. If it is giving the correct voltage your PSU is fine and if you do fine in a blend test for extended amount of time it's likely your graphics card.
