Yeah that's fine. Just let that blend run and if it doesn't have any problems it's probably RMA time. : /

I'd let it run for a couple hours just to be absolutely sure. Sometimes you won't fail for a few hours even. Hell I was running a blend today testing some new settings and it didn't fail until almost 4 hours in.

ok, but if something wrong with my mobo, it would show in prime95 blend right?

Not necessarily all components can be fickle at times, but you'd be eliminating a lot of possiblities. If you pass a decently long blend and your voltages from your PSU look good your motherboard is almost certianly ok. Key word being almost unfortunately.

Edit - How spurratic is your freezing? Is it completely random and can you almost count on it after an extended period of time?

How long does it take for your rig to freeze or crash when playing games? 5min, 10 min an hour? And video card drivers dont necessarily cause crashes sometimes the video will just do wierd stuff like artifact all over the place.

If it takes a short amount of time for it to crash and you're convinced its video related, run 3dmark05/06 and see if it does it during that too. Since 3dmark is very GPU/CPU intensive I would imagine it would instigate a crash also.

Yeah that's why I was asking how frequent it happens or if it's completely random. Outside of drivers which can do some funky things you can try to underclock your GPU and video card memory just a little and see if everything goes back to normal (barring some fps obviously). I had an 8800GTX that would do some strange artifacting only in certain spots in a game and the occasional crashing usually in similar areas but it wouldn't happen everywhere. At this point I was almost certain it was the video memory so I underclocked the GPU and memory and it disappeared. Then I took the GPU back up to normal and it still acted normal. Then the memory went back up and bam it all started again.
