Dremmel 400 series? - Page 2

yep, the first instinct is to try and power and plunge the cutting disks into/thru the material, but we soon learn that its not the right way multiple light passes and she's a champ.

Also looking...

So the XPR400 6/90 is the pimp daddy of them all then? I'm all about getting the best tools. Are there any other types of accessories that I should be looking for other than what comes in this kit?

Just FYI I bought a dremmel accesorie kit for $25 dollars, It included "some kind of dremmel adapter" and 5 or so circular disks for cutting through metal. I used the power drill I already had and adapter that came with kit, attached a circular disk to the adapter and got to the cutting... Any way saved some money by not purchasing a whole dremmel.

Don't forget to practice on something before going straight to your rig!!

the 6/90 has 6 attachments including the flexi shaft so its a pretty complete kit. Early on I added an ezlock starter kit (ezlock mandrel + 5 cutoff wheels for metal) which are great, and yesterday I added the drill press and router/shaper table kits. The drill press is nice, the router table on the other hand doesnt come with a certain part that allows it to attach the 400xpr tool. Pretty stupid since its advertised on the box for xpr400 (follow the Greenie-poo link in my sig to see what I mean) Anyway dremel is sending a part I need. Also, iirc, when I first got the 6/90 it was missing the square driver nut for the flexishaft, but dremel sent a replacement right away.
