Need a new PSU $40~$80

Thread Starter
I am building a budget gaming rig and I think instead of buying a load of extensions and adapters, I think will buy a new power supply. I will be running an overclocked e5200, 8800GTX (possibly something similar), 2 IDE optical drives, and 2 SATA HDDs. My current PSU is a CoolMax v500 and it only has 1 SATA connector, no PCIe connectors, and only 4 Molex connectors. So that sucks.

Any advice on a solid PSU? I am not planning on going SLI anytime soon so that is not an issue.

and corsair! I personally thing corsair is awesome. I would get this one if I were you. Efficient, cheap (if you don't mind MIR), and black.

The corsair also features extra long cables, which you said you didn't want to buy adapters and such so this would be good for you.

This one has many many more connectors that you may like. 40$ after MIR. Only bad part I could see would be the efficiency.

The 8800gtx is around 176w so pick a good 500w psu at the price range. I would suggest Corsair 550vx first if you don't mind mir.
