need help urgent

Thread Starter
I just replaced the power supply on my parents computer and now it won't boot. It sounds like RAM errors... The only reason they're replacing the old PSU is a busted fan, but they bought this one and I don't really know why it could be having this error...

specs =
Athlon X2 5600+ 2.8GHz
GIGABYTE GA-M61P-S3
ATi Radeon X1650
2GB Corsair DDR2 800
320GB Western Digital
and the new PSU is an Antec Basiq 500w

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I seem to have fixed it by moving the RAM to a different slot. Thanks for the advice, nemesis.

if you find that that ram slot doesnt work because of the motherboard, not the psu, you should RMA the mobo if you can spare a couple weeks
