Q6600 Overclock Help..

post #1 of 3
Thread Starter
I can't make my Q6600 at 3.33ghz (370*9) stable (1.38v)
Volts seems a little high... It loads at 63C (Yeah, I know max volts are 1.5v, and max temp is 72C)

Im able to load windows, everything... run Prime for about 10-15 minutes...
But it just restart at randoms moment

Should I put more volts in? Or is there another way to get it stable.. maybe raising FSB volts..

For making my PC to post I had to put MCH volts at +0.1v

What is this anyway? MCH?

I looked in google an image (Is not my motherboard, but my mobo has more or less the same options)

My Q6600 VID is 1.2875

Help?

I would bump voltage, I have my 1.325vid q6600 at 1.5v at 3.5ghz with a zalman 9700. It runs at a max of 50C with an ambient of 18C. Just watch your temps.

MCH is the memory controller which is the northbridge, and adding voltage will increase stability of overclocks for it.

9X375=3375mhz here idling at 25-33

You should be overclocking fine? I think it's the board cause P35's and P45's are rock solid for quads. 965 is a little iffy.
