These problems I'm having are minor, but they shouldn't be happening in an "update."

I havn't noticed any real differences... However, I don't use iCal. The whole separate icon for the trackpad seems pretty pointless though.

The day/week/month and back/forward buttons for changing the view gray out sometimes. I can't find a pattern this time for when they gray out, but in 10.5.4, the problem was that the "Today" button grayed out whenever the window was closed and then opened at a later time.

AND THEY STILL HAVEN'T FIXED THE LACK OF ICON WHEN AN EVENT HAS A NOTE! HOW !@#%ING HARD IS THAT TO FIX? Jesus... :swearing:

apple is usually better than others... I mean at least they don't rush out a whole broken OS and scare away 75% of computer users for 2 years.

I can understand they would do it for the new MBs, since they have the 3- and 4-finger gesture options. But it still belongs in keyboard/mouse...

I know that when it's at today, the Today button will grey out. Did it happen to launch at the day's date in 10.5.4? I'm not experiencing any problems in 10.5.6, though.

They probably wanted to put it in another pane to advertise the new features; doesn't make it any less stupid, though.

It's when I was creating events in the future (Janurary). I found that I couldn't go back and forward, nor could I change the view. I guess that means the initial date at startup is irrelevant. It has only happened once so far, so not a big deal.

What I'm REALLY pissed about is the "note" icon. In Tiger, there was a little icon an the bottom of an event if you had an extra note on it. For some STUPID reason, they took it off in Leopard. SOOOOOO many people have complained about this, yet apple refuses to address the problem. We have to click every single event and inspect its information pop-up to see if there's a note. And it is SUCH a minor fix; I bet if I had the source code, I could fix it in 3 seconds.

Makes the Sys Prefs more cluttered imo, but not much of a "problem" at all.

Ugh, I'll just wait to update if this crap is so common, or maybe I'll shove Gentoo on my Powerbook, I really hate not having control over my OS.
