Yeah go e8400, don't buy a weak processor.

Get a 4870 instead of 4850, big difference in performance.

Get this memory instead:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820104038

Get this PSU instead:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139005

And get this case (Antec 300) to put more money towards the video card:

that memory is way too expensive, not necessary imo when compared to other 4gb kits.

as for the case, he loves the 900, and plus I also have two brand new ones.

BTW, what are you're Idle/load temps @ 3.6 on ur Q6600?

I guess if you are taking the rebate into account of your chosen ram, I never do as I don't see the money for months if at all.

The ram is dirt cheap compared to what it used to be.

Makes since, although I regret getting the 900, I prefer my friends 300.

Money comes after about a month or two, tops. Not too concerned with that since it's for a friend, and I'll probably take responsibility for them. RAM is cheap compared to what it used to be, but cheaper is still better! I've never OC'd ram before, so I guess that's why it never matters to much to me what type, ha.

Why do you prefer the 300 over the 900? and, those are sick temps for that OC. I idle at 40C in this heatbox case of mine. I am so temped to change the case.
