COD4 = Frozen Computer

So, I haven't played COD4 in like 3 months, but my friend just got it so I started playing again.

Anyways, it freezes my computer. Sometimes after 5 mins, sometimes after 30, but it always happens before I am ready to quit. Now When I mean free, I get a shuddering of the audio (like when you make a pitch then pound your chest really fast), and the screen freezes. I can't do anything (ctrl+atl+del) except hold down the power button and restart.

I have not reinstalled COD yet, and I just ran ATI tool for 20 mins and there are no errors, but it is saying something about Delta of xxx pixles in x. I don't remember seeing that before. I also ran a memtest, and there were no errors there.

Will reinstalling help?

Same thing happened to me on one of my comps with CoD: World at War. I reinstalled DirectX 9.0c and updating my video driver and it solved the problem. I suggest you trying the same thing.
