ya i've gotten it good and stable up to 725.1550.1350, no artifacts w/ ATITool testing for like an hour. But i just OC'd to 750/1607/1260, and i get artifacts within three seconds, and now with ANY clock speed i get horrible FPS; what gives????? EVGA Precision says it's OC'ing to 400\\799\\297, and i'm getting like 500 frames on the little ATITool animation, whereas normally i would get about 1900 somethin; what??? help?

i have the latest driver and mine does the same thing. I also didn't get any improvement on FPS on crysis going from 745 core clock to 765 and 1533 to 1566 shaders.. and sometimes when the GPU is not in use EVGA shows those weird clock speeds you listed above, if you restart the program or run ATI tool for artifacts the speeds should go back to what you had them set.

ok, now i'm really gettin pissed. i reinstalled my drivers (180.60), rebooted fine, open up ATITool and gettin regular frames on the animation thingy (no OC yet), then i OC to 725.1550.1350 (used to work fine...) and then little marks show up all over my screen, and my card downclocks to 400\\799\\297. weird thing though, GPU-Z still says im at 725.1550.1350! wth?!?!?!! im confused...

im pretty sure you want to hear from someone else but me but the same thing also happened to me i had a good overclock a lot higher than i have now and well went to work, later on that night got on to do some gaming and boom.. the OC settings got fragments.. same settigns that didn't get any fragments for hours that same afternoon so i clocked it down a bit and went from there.

ya, same thing here, but when i "clock it down a bit", it does the same thing as before.

I just tried it out on Crysis and like 3 seconds into the game everything freezes and my monitor says "No Signal". ***???

Anyone else have any help to offer?

Try dropping you VRam clock down to 1300, Un-Linking the core and shader and dropping just the shader down to 1450, thatll give you a 1:2 Core-Shader if youve got a 725 core....

Normally the whole ATI Tool thing (Framerate and downclock) and locking says somethings unstable, just restart and try a slightly lower frequency when it happens

Well, you're not going to like this buy you pushed your card a bit too far. Your GPU is fine, but your memory is most likely kind of toast. I owned GTX 260s and 280s and I got rid of them because of this exact reason. They will actually die on your partially, and often too. I think that there is just too much heat with the cards. Also, pushing your ram to 1350MHz is a bit too far...not going to lie.

When you are overclocking, your fans must be at 100% and you do not back it off until you stabilize your OC, and you only do that after you reduce your max OC a bit.
