My new 8750 BE is a really bad overclocker? - Page 5

I bought this mobo before I joined this site.

Once I completed my build, I joined up, started posting, and then a week or so later the SB750s started appearing.

I wish I had known.

In all honesty though, this chip is so fast compared to my 5000+, even when I ran it at 3.3 GHz.

My computer boots up so fast now it is crazy.
You know how in Vista, after the loading bar, it flashes the blue orb and makes a sound, and then shows the welcome screen, and then dings when if goes to the desktop?

The first sound, and the ding overlap when I boot up.

I thought it was glitching out at first, but then I realized it was just loading up instantly.

Same here man, I brought this motherboard without researching first, thought yeah dfi is a trusted brand and 790fx sounds pretty good. My motherboard is currently being RMAd, but before it was I was trying to oc my cpu aswell (same as yours) and was having the exact problem you described in your first post, good to hear you got around it, it might not be 3ghz, but at least its an oc =D

I remember those threads. I was following them very closely. They are the reason I bought this chip.

With my 3.2 GHz 5000+, I struggled to play Crysis on Medium.

With this Phenom at 2.9 GHz, I have no problem playing on very high.

And that is on the demo version. I'm assuming the fully patched game would play even better.

I'm really happy with my CPU.

I'm still going to work on the OC, but as it is, it is very fast.
And also, I really like my mobo, it has been nothing but stable for me.

And, my Vista Experience Index is a 5.9. So according to Microsoft, my computer cannot possibly get any better.
