It was merely an explanation of an argument that supported that view. Honestly, I could care less whether anyone folds or not. But the point was that everyone is entitled to their side of the story, whether you like it or not.

If that was your point, you appear to be having difficulties making it.

I posted my views, you chose to "beg to differ". You may consider addressing the "flames" next time.

Ok look, you all might hold a vendetta against NrGx from previous posts, but from the looks of this thread, a few of you are just throwing words into his mouth. He is not anti-folding by any means, and what he is saying is fairly simple to understand. Fold because it's the right thing to do, not because you're scared of contracting a disease that could be cured by folding, hence the self-serving interest.

OP:
This is, however, a very good response to many of the negative views towards Folding@Home. Thanks for the info
Thank you. I am disappointed that a few very highly respected members on this forum cannot even read my original post to discern its meaning. Disgraceful.

Hey, guys. I'm new to this site. I just figured out what folding was ten minutes ago and already have it running. Why not? I leave my system on 24/7 anyway. It's a small sacrifice for the greater good. Anyway, can anyone tell me what it will show up as in my task manager so I can identify it and temporarily disable it if need be?

You don't need to disable it in task manager, just stop it and restart it if you need to. What client are you running?
