Thread Starter
I have some problems with OC my CPU. I got a ASUS Striker II Formula and a Q6600 + TRUE.

1. I tried to OC to 3.0Ghz and in my BIOS/startup it says just that, but when i get to windows... well look at the pics and u understand, it's 2.4Ghz. Whats that about?

2. And if i look at the CPU-Z memorytab it says my max bandwidth is 6400, but i have 8500 memory?!

3. And one more thing, it says my memory have a timing of 5 5 5 18, i would belive it should be 5 5 5 15...?!?!

Sorry if they are a bit big... at least i have a nice bg

You need to turn off EIST/C1E/Speedstep in the bios, it's reducing your multiplier as a powersaving feature.

Regarding your RAM and its timings, you have to set those manually in the bios to ensure they're running at their rated specs.

Agreed, although the RAM should run at it's rated speeds automatically...

How'd you get the taskbar up top and get a dock?

Right click the taskbar, uncheck 'Lock the Taskbar', click and drag the bar around your screen to the desired point. It'll stay there after you let go of it.
