This is very cool.

Great original idea my friend - I hope everything turns out as desired, I'm stoked to see the final product.

oops i also forget to mention that the Acrylic is 1/4" To prevent from bending and warping while the stick is being used

Yep, that's routing. Are you using an actual router, or a band saw or just going at it by hand?

well im cutting the acrylic, with my dremel and some roto zip bits.

i noticed yesterday at The depot that they have some bits for routing, so im going to try that on some scrap acrylic first. And then if i cant get anything successful to work ill walk down the street to a neighbor who does wood working for a living and use his equipment.

Cool, that might work, you'll probably want to make a jig.

If you do use your pals equipment if he's a woodworker he most assuredly has a band saw. I've seen some people cutting acrylic with a band saw, if you made a jig to prop the acrylic at a 45 then that would probably be the easiest, however I've never cut acrylic so I'm just speculating here.

ive used a bandsaw to cut acrylic, and it was his band saw. But i dont like to ask him to use his equipment to often. Also using my dremel to cut it isnt that hard, just takes some time.

But yeah i have a couple of ideas how to route it with my dremel, but tomorrow we will see how good i am lol.

Quick Update:

Sorry for double post, but today i have been sanding for about 3 hours and am about 2/3 done. I will continue tomorrow. Also i got the router bit from home depot for my dremel and it was too small to cut into 1/4" thick acrylic. maybe like 1/8" for future reference to anyone out there.
