How so? That Apple made a boo-boo?

Remember, news is sensational, how many this affects who knows.

Microsofts been making boo-boo's since they kept recycling the NT kernel without a overhaul of it, thank god they have realized this finally after Vista's high demands.

i had the configuring setup, problem on my EFI-X based "Hackintosh" and i had to do alot to get it to install correctly.
1. uninstall any 3rd party driver, legal or illegal, it's just best to not have them while updating.
2. delete any illegal kexts, that you shouldn't have in the first place (tsk, tsk), but if you do for any reason, you have to delete them.
3. turn off the IDE controller in the BIOS. I'm not sure why, but i couldn't update until i did
4. turn off the onboard Audio in the bios.
5. update using the combo update from Apples website.
6. after the update finishes you can turn the IDE, and onboard sound back on in the bios
7. install any 3rd party drivers to get your system back up and running like before.
