Also look into increasing the GTL voltages and the FSB voltage (might be called VTT in your bios).

why? thats an awesome PSU. not many ppl have it. try upping NB to 1.5v. What is your RAM voltage, you may have to increase that as well

i do lots of editing for the most part. and going to fullsail as a design major.
But in all honesty i just made this for gaming.. i'll admit its just a TAD bit overboard on the hard drives, but i like being drastic.

And the overly dramatic chipmonk is my friend

as soon as matrix storage manager gets done verifying i will take 2 sticks of ram out, and try stability there.

could be a lame Q6600 like I had earlier this year.....I tried for a month or so to get mine stable at 3.6 on water and it just would not do it. Not even at 1.58v...gave up after that and settled on 3.4 @ 1.48v. Good luck, maybe you just need to tweak GTL, VTT, etc like Eric suggested

Yea, i would like to do that, but in all reality i know a lil bit about the fsb tweeking and cpu/nb/dramm voltages but i have never read anything on the GTL and VTT So i am trying to find some good info on how to mess around with those

They are particularly important to OCing quad cores. The VTT helps stablaize the sigtnaling between the NB and CPU cores. The GTL ref voltages help stabalize the voltage as well, and is more specific to the cores themselves.

The optimum setting for NB GTL is .67 and .63 or .67 for CPU GTL.
VTT with a Q6600 is 1.34v

Here is a good read on GTL and VTT:
