If you still want 3.6, my Q6600 is more stable at 450x8 than at 400x9.

For some odd reason, whenever i try 450 x 8 i can never get it to post.
I'm at 3.4Ghz with my Q6600 and after 10 hours of Prime95 I finally started to notice that two of my cores were pulling ahead of the other two, or two of them were lagging, either way. My next change to play with my OC settings is going to involve me tweaking my CPU PLL upwards a little bit to see if that brings them all back in sync (finishing work-sets at nearly the same time) ... then I'll try for 400Mhz x9 again. There are no "AUTO" settings for me, instability in an OC == reason to learn why. And learning is half the battle - finding a STD-Free, three dollar hooker is the other half. ;-p

--------
LOL, the point of that was supposed to be:

What are your CPU PLL settings and, at your highest stable overclock, have you noticed that your cores are out of sync. Also, what are your RAM timings/voltages/etc.? have you checked their support forums for any optimization guidelines for overclocking their 4 x 2048MB sticks?

Well this is about as stable as i could get.
running at 380*9 3.4ghz 1.4v about 30c idle 55c max load.
DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 @ DDR2-952 5-5-5-15 2.1v 266-667 strap
SB Core/CPU PLL 1.510v
NB Core 1.304v
CPU VTT 1.211v
Vcore Droop Control = Enabled
Clockgen Control 3.45v
GTL+ Buffers Strength = Strong
Host Slew Rate = Weak
GTL Ref Rate = Disable

Original RAM settings is DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 2.1v

Tried running the ram @ 266/800 DDR2-1142 5-5-5-15 2.2v and @ 266/667 DDR2-952 4-4-4-12(my original ram timings) 2.2v Both failed to post and had to reset CMOS. try with both 4gigs, and 8gigs.

You will have to set the timings to 5-5-5-15 for DDR2 952. I dont know of too many ram sets that can run 4-4-4-12 much above 900.

i cant reach 3.6ghz also .... im currently running 3.4ghz with 1.4v idle and 1.39v load with a pencil mod ... before that i couldnt even reach 3.4ghz stable.
i have also tried a variety of combination of voltages but everytime i get a 000124 BSOD ... even at 1.6v
thing is i can do whatever i want at 3.6ghz with 1.5v and it wont BSOD on me. 3dmark games no matter what ... altho it does if i use prime or linpack ...
